The most common method of crowning a tooth involves taking a dental impression of a tooth prepared by a dentist, then fabricating the crown outside of the mouth. The crown can be inserted at a subsequent dental appointment. This indirect method of tooth restoration allows the use of strong restorative material requiring time-consuming fabrication under intense heat.
In our clinic digital impressions are available which eliminate the gag reflux that might be caused by the glue Impression materials used in the past. This not only makes the treatment more comfortable for the patient, but also the outcome is much more precise.
After the scanning, the digital impressions are sent to the dental lab where your crowns are designed on the computer and milled by a robot.
Ceramic veneers (sometimes called porcelain veneers or dental porcelain laminates) are wafer-thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve your appearance. These shells are bonded to the front of the teeth changing their color, shape, size, or length.
Veneers is a very minimal invasive technique where we remove a very thin layer of your teeth to replace it with ceramic material. After that we scan your teeth with a 3d scanner and send the digital impression to the lab, where your new smile will be created using robotic dentistry.
